Jiaqi has worked in both academia and industry to enhance the learning experience through emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and remote learning tools. Jiaqi holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Art and Technology Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies from Shanghai Ocean University. She has developed VR/AR software for organisations such as the Multimedia Anthropology Lab at University College London and the Learning Sciences Research Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Jiaqi leverages digital technologies to enhance experiential education. She integrates emerging technologies such as VR/AR across the programmes of the UCD Innovation Academy.
As an active community event organiser, Jiaqi’s passion has led her to promote interdisciplinary conversations among artists, designers, and researchers through exhibitions and talks. To engage VR technology with a broader public, she collaborated with a VR arcade business in Chicago to produce multisensory VR festivals for 3 years. She is thrilled to engage with creative communities in Ireland.
